Christmas 2010

This Christmas was beautiful.

It just happened that we were able to celebrate with all our family before or we will be able to celebrate after Christmas. So that left the actual day of Christmas to me and my little family. Don't get me wrong, we adore our extended family and have the best memories spending time with them, but there is something about only having one schedule to add to your day that makes it seem extra special.

This year we asked for a family gift instead on individual gifts. Santa brought us a Wii! Not only that, but Nana, Pappa, and Grandma Candace came over to say hi and wish us a Merry Christmas. It was wonderful to have the whole day to play the wii or whatever else we wanted to do.

Awww happy, smiling Christmas faces. Everyone in Christmas jammies except Sanders because he thought that was a horrible idea.

I made everyone a Snuggie (a blanket with sleeves)--which have been huge hits with everyone but Sanders. Some day he will love that I make him stuff.

 So stinkin' happy!

"Fine, I'll stop celebrating long enough to smile."

 Love the Christmas hair.

If you've ever watched "The Big Bang Theory" you'll appreciate this Green Lantern shirt I made Kev.

 Family game time Wii style.

So much yummy food to choose from

Because we didn't have anywhere to go we also made a new rule for the day. You can eat whatever you want, whenever you want, but if you give yourself a stomach ache, I don't want to hear about it.

The kids were. in. heaven.

Lest you think us completely lacking in parental skills we did amend that rule for Sanders when we realized that the only food he had consumed by 8 am was chocolate. He wasn't happy with our ruling, but I think his stomach was.

The kids kept randomly running up to us and yelling, "This is the BEST Christmas EVER!!!!"

I would have to agree.

Love the snuggie pictures! (And you know me well enough to know that snuggie love does NOT come naturally to me...) Looks like a great Christmas with your cute family.

You have access to much better fabric than I do! Not that I sew, but maybe I would! LOL...
