World by Sanders

If the past tense is pooped then logically the other past tense must assuredly be peeped.

12 for 12

Kevin brought me 12 roses today. The occasion? One for each year of marriage.

Have I mentioned I kind of like him?

There is no one better suited for me. He believes in me. He pushes me to be better. He's a great dad to our children. He works hard and never makes me feel bad about what I do or do not get done around the house. And the do not sadly out weighs the do.

I told you. He's a keeper!

We went out to dinner at a restaurant called Park Stone and the saw the movie Premium Rush. We did the real celebrating at the Zermont Resort last week.

I'm a pretty lucky girl to get to spend all this one on one time with my best friend!

Happy 12 years!!

Sandersisms

Sanders was spitting/blowing bubbles during sacrament meeting today. I put my finger parallel to, and slightly in, his parted lips.

He bit me.

"Ouch! Sanders, that hurts. Don't bite my finger."

He replied in very that's how the world works kind of a way, "Well, Mom, you put it in there."

I laughed for 5 mins. straight. A lot of that had to do with the fact that we were in church and so I was trying not to laugh which of course makes it all the more funny!

---------

Tonight he came running in from outside and headed toward the bathroom. Kevin intersected him and asked what he was doing, "My face is turning into moahmort."

"What?"

"My face. It's turning into moahmort."

Kevin looked at me for help, but I was just as clueless. Sanders then pushed past Kevin and looked at his reflection in the mirror and let out a HUGE sigh of relief at the sight he saw.

"Oh! My face not turning to moahmort!!"

I asked him to repeat himself and he seemed a little embarrassed and said, "I'm not going to tell you."

I finally got him to say what he thought his face had been turning into, though he did it reluctantly. Something clicked this time after he said, "My face was turning into moahmort. They kill your family"

"Buddy, did you think your face was turning into Voldemort's?"

"Yes."

"Who told you that?"

"Beckham"

Turns out Sanders face looked a little pale which reminded Beckham of Voldemort's complexion. Of course he felt the need to tell his 3 year old brother that he believed him to be turning into Voldemort as well as a behavioral history of the man belonging to that face.

For the record, Sanders has never seen any of the Harry Potter movies or had any of the books read to him. However, his big brother has and LOVES them and does what anybody does when they love a book....share the story line and quotes and things that struck him as odd or funny with the people he loves. And those belonging in the acquaintances category.

When I shared with Beckham that Sanders truly though he was turning into Voldemor,t and became frightened by that thought, he felt pretty bad. Hopefully, it's a good lesson in age appropriate information sharing for him.

Kids are great, no?
