Strange math

Tennyson: "Mom, Do boys and girls get married so their numbers can change?"

Luckily we had just been talking about birthdays or I, like you right about now, would have been completely lost.

Me: "Do you mean, do they get married so that they will be a different age when they have a birthday?"

T: "Yes."

M: " No. Your age changes when you have a birthday and you're not married."

T: "Oh. Right."

It's so fun to hear what a four year old thinks about.
