Growing pains

On Friday, April 18th, we registered Karaia for Kindergarten. She was soooo excited. Mom, however, was a bit sad to see this day come. Don't get me wrong, I know she is going to do so well and have such a great time, but I know I will miss her. When did she grow up?

And because apparently I didn't feel like she had grown up enough, we took her training wheels off her bike when we got home and in 10 minutes she was riding a bike all on her own!! She was a bit frustrated that absolute perfection in two wheeling did not immediately descend upon her, but she didn't let that stop her. It's nice to see those strong characteristics in your children.

She is outside every chance she gets and now, 4 short days after her first wobbly pedal, feels confident enough to start trying tricks. That's right, tricks. Her favorite is to see how sharp she can make a turn without turfing it. Yeah.....it's my favorite.

Thank goodness these two wheels don't also come with a motor!!!

Karaia is so big!! I, too, am looking to kindergarten with a bit of a sad heart. I think we're going to wait a year here, though, so I'll come to you for sympathy next year. Way to go on the bike riding. Give Karaia a high five for me! Oh, we tried your cordon bleu tonight and it was a thumbs up from everyone. Yum. Thanks!

I think Karaia is trying to keep up with her two older boy cousins...since she doesn't have any girly ones her age (or at least in town) We will have to get the three daredevils together to play sometime.

I'm sure a daredevil play would result in a trip to the hospital. You bring the Neosporin I'll bring the band-aids.

I know how you feel. I registered my 3 year old, Anna up for preschool next year and I am already mourning that she is growing up. (preschool for her will be three days a week 9-2, I mean she might as well be in kindergarten already). I love her age, it is so fun. She will be 4 next month and I should be happy but I am not so sure how I feel about it.
